Her Grace Gabrielle Riel and host Emily Orr, lots of cake and streamers, balloons and silliness, and most of all, all sorts of incredible people. I was, and still am, so overwhelmed that everyone came out to celebrate my lil’ ole rez day! As Miss Lapin noted in her blog, friends came out of the wood work and back in world to come hoo! the night away with us.I still can’t believe it has been a year here. My first day I met Mordecai, and have spent every day since basking in the love, happiness, and fun we share. That first day he bought me a dress from Silver Rose, to help me get into the spirit of Caledon, and we spend a magical afternoon tucked away on a bench overlooking the water view that was in Tanglewood at the time. I have had an amazing year,
filled with love and laughter, and not only met my now husband, but met so many amazing people I am lucky to call friends. Caledon is my home, my community, and for the last year I have delighted in coming back to it each day, and all the people I come back to as well.I hope my next year here is as good as my first, for this truly has been the best. Thank you Mordecai, my love, my rock, my husband. Thank you Caledon, Des, and all of my wonderful friends and neighbors that make our great community what it is. And thank you to, um, hmmm….can I say Lin…or Sec….damn trademark rules…er, you know who I mean. For as much as the Grid can be a pain in the ass, I wouldn’t have had the year of joy I did.
